Web Master / Content Manager for a Company Website (Ongoing)

An Australian company is looking for a web master, either an individual or a small company, to take ownership of the day-to-day running of their WordPress website. The site is live and stable. What is missing is someone who keeps the content fresh, accurate and well moderated, and who handles the correspondence that comes through it.

Responsibilities

• Manage website content: publish new pages, service updates, news items and blog posts supplied by the company, and write or polish copy where needed
• Create new content on a regular schedule (two to four articles or page updates per month) with basic on-page SEO
• Moderate user-submitted content such as comments, reviews, form submissions and directory listings
• Handle website correspondence: monitor the contact and enquiry inboxes, respond to routine enquiries using approved templates and route the rest to the right person
• Routine upkeep: plugin and theme updates, backups, uptime and broken-link checks, image optimisation
• Provide a short monthly report on traffic, enquiries and work completed

Requirements

• Solid WordPress administration experience (Elementor or Gutenberg, Yoast or Rank Math, WPForms or Gravity Forms)
• Strong written English; you will be writing on the company's behalf
• Basic HTML and CSS for small fixes, and Google Analytics 4 and Search Console for reporting
• Reliable availability during Australian business hours for enquiries, roughly 15 to 20 hours per week

Engagement: ongoing monthly retainer. Budget shown is per month (approx. AUD 500). Companies and individuals are both welcome to apply; please describe your process and share sites you currently manage.
